ABSS leads the way in Robotic Shot Peening.
In a first for Australasia, Abrasive Blasting Service & Supplies has developed a fully robotic Shot Peening System for the aircraft industry in New Zealand. This pressure blast system operates two different abrasive types and is fully programmable from the easy to use robot teach pendant. Complete with abrasive airwash, vibratory screen media classification and mechanical recovery system, this unit shot peens aircraft turbines, as well as many other components, both internally and externally.

ABSS Commissions New Machines at one of Adelaide’s leading Steel Fabricators.
As part of one of the biggest company expansions to hit Adelaide in many years, Abrasive Blasting Service & Supplies has recently installed and commissioned two Six Turbine Plate & Section Cleaners. As an integral part of the production process both machines can process plate, sections, flat, pipes, universal columns and beams up to a Class 2 finish at a rate of up to 2m/min. The six 15kW blast turbines are arranged around the blast chamber to form a pattern to blast each surface evenly as the component is passed through the machine on the power driven roller conveyor.
